Online Card Classes Day 2

I have been slacking on my Online Card Classes.  So I decided tonight would be a good night to work on it.  These are the cards I made.

I started by making the background and I used Picket Fence Distress Paint and inked up my stamp and stamped by paper.  I then dried it and took my mini distress ink blender and peacock feathers ink and added ink over the paint.  The paint almost resists the color.  Once I added enough color.  I took a baby wipe and wiped off a little of the color.  I then die cut the circle using a Spellbinders die.  For the birthday card.  I just glued the background to the card base.  Then stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.  For the Hello Card I stamped the boarder with an old stamp I had in my stash.  I then took chipboard pieces from the Modern Miss collection from Bo Bunny.  I glued them down and then added Clear Wink of Stella.

These cards were so quick and easy and I love how they turned out.  What do you think?
Thanks for looking.

Online Card Classes 2 Day 1

Hi Everyone,
I decided that it might be fun to sign up for the online card class called stretch your stamps.  Yesterday was the first day and it was awesome.  It was on background stamps.  I learned a few new techniques that I decided to test out.  Here is what I came up with.

For this card I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the colors picked raspberry, festive berries, and salty ocean.  I added the color to a craft sheet with the colors next to each other.  Then I took the stamp which I got at Michaels and used the colors and my own stamp pad.  Then I added a little water to the stamp to get the colors to blend a little and stamped in on some watercolor paper.  I then cut it into strips and edged each strip with salty ocean.  I glued them to a card base.  I added some thickers for the sentiment and cut out some butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch.  I colored the butterflies with salty ocean and glued them to the card.  I really like how it turned out.  I also made the following cards.

Let me know what you think.  Thanks for looking.

Greeting Farm Card

Hi Everyone,
So I wasn't planning on doing this card, but after today I wanted to create something to relieve some stress.  So I started to color some new stamps I received and some stamps I haven't colored in a while.  So I made this card.

I colored this girl from the Greeting Farm Lovey Dovey Set.  Her skin is E00 & E21.  Her hair is E33, YR24, and E37.  Her clothes are RV21, BG23, BG32, BG15, and BG09.
I used the Spell Binders Nestabilities Classic Ovals LG.  I also used the Recollections background stamp to stamp the graphic piece. I found some cardstock in my stash.  I think the pink is from CTMH and the Blue is Bazzill.  Let me know what you think.

Paper Smooches Anything Goes

Hi Everyone,

Today I made this card for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge.

So here is the card I came up with.
I started with some masking paper cut to 4 x 5 1/4.  I used the scalloped circles dies to cut out a mask.  I added the mask to the card base.  I then took 3 colors of distress ink and added them to the scalloped circle.  I then added a little water to make the colors blend and bleed a little.  I also used distress ink to create the boarder around the mask.  I stamped the washing machine from the Squeaky Clean set on a separate piece of paper and colored it with my Copic Markers.  I used C1, C3, RG21, and BG32.  I then cut it out and added a little clear Wink of Stella to the heart.  I glued it over the scalloped circle and stamped the sentiment and it was done.

Paper Smooches Inspiration

Hi Everyone,

Paper Smooches is having a Picture Perfect challenge.  So the Challenge is to create a
project based on this photo.
If you know me, you know that I love wood grain, so I found a wood grain paper in
the Country Boutique 6x6 pad from Fancy Pants Designs.  I then painted it with
Tim Holtz Distress Paint in picket fence and broken china.  Then I added
silver embossing powder to the top.  I then took a kraft piece of cardstock and
painted it with black soot and embossed "Hello" from the Paper Smooches
Scripty Sayings with white embossing powder.  I also added a little
piece of washi tape.  I tied it with a little bit of twine I had in my stash.  I then put
it on my card base with foam tape.  I really love the colors.
So what do you think?  Let me know by leaving me a comment.
Thanks for looking.

Purple Birthday

Hi Everyone,
I made this card for my Aunt's Birthday.  She loves purple.
So I started with a purple card base I have had in my stash for a very long time.  I then took some watercolor paper and used my Tim Holtz Distress Paint in the color seedless preserves and my Studio Calico Huey's Bubbles Mask and dabbed the paint over the mask onto the water color paper.  After that dried I added a silver doilies from Studio Calico.  I then had a chipboard piece from Close to my Heart that I stamped with the Flower from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set by Close to my Heart.  I heat embossed that with Silver embossing powder.  I also stamped the Happy Birthday from Sweet Birthday Wishes from Jaded Blossom and heat embossed that with the same embossing powder.  I cut a banner edge on the sentiment and glued all the card together.  I hope she will like this card.
Thanks for stopping by.

This is the card I came up with

If you want to participate in the Sketch Challenge you can go to http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ They do have a $25.00 prize from Simon Says Stamp Store.
Today for my card I used paper from Pebbles Sunny side 6x6 pad, Paper Smooches stamp Spectrum, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic Markers (YG17, BG72, R85, RV29, YR07, Y38), and the felt heart is from pebbles Layered Embellishments.
