Mixed Media Monday 3

Hi Everyone.  I'm hoping to be back on schedule today.  I sat down at my desk to work on my art journal.  I started with some distress paint and a polk dot stamp.  I stamped it all over the page.  Then I added distress ink.  I then put more paint at the top and added water to make it drip.  I then added another stamp in black and some more paint and water and some sprays.  I then cut out some images from a magazine.  I glued them to the page.  I then wrote out the quote.  Then did a little bit of doodling and called it a night.
Thanks for looking.  Let me know what you think.

Pocket Page Week 35

So all this week I have been redoing my scrap closet.  I went to Ikea and purchased a new desk, drawer unit and a cart.  So I took everything out of my closet.  Took all the furniture out and built my new furniture.  So anyway, that is why I haven't done any posts this week.  I was finally able to sit down and make my Week 35.  I used products from the Studio Calico kit from August.  I only added a few stickers, a little bit of washi tape, and some small embellishments.  So here is my page.

This was a really quick page.  It probably took me less than 30 minutes.

Let me know what you think.  Thanks for stopping by.

Pocket Thursday Week 34

Pocket Thursday

Week 34 2014

Today's page was inspired by the products I'm using.  We took these great picture of the kids with all the wildflowers from the monsoons and the paper seemed to go so well with all the colors.
So I started with this paper.
I love the patterned, but I thought it needed some watercolor.  So I added some distress ink and water with a paint brush.
I painted a few of the flowers and leaves on the paper and I also did some drops of color all of the paper.
I love how it turned out!  The rest of the page was pretty straight forward except when I was working I couldn't find one of the pictures I had printed and then found it when I was done with the page, so I had to do some page surgery to fix it and the picture, since I love the pictures from this week.  So here is the complete page.

Here is the title page close up and the watercolor card close up.

Traditional Tuesday 2

Traditional Tuesday

I am still loving the Jillibean Soup paper so I decided to do another Halloween page.
I love looking at old picture.  My kids were so little in these pictures.
I started with the picture and just layered papers under the picture.  All but the black paper are from with Witches Brew 6x6 pad.  I then found an overlay to go on top of the photo from Glitz.  I added Thickers for the title, glitter starts from Lawn Fawn, the label sticker from Studio Calico and the Gold Sticker from Me and My Big Ideas.  I love how it turned out and it was quick and easy.
Thanks for looking.
Let me know what you think.

Mixed Media Monday 2

I took a lot of time to make this page today.  I started using Faber Castell Gelatos and added water.  I then took a stencil from the crafters workshop and added texture paste and distress ink.  I also added distress paint and Mister Huey's color mists.  I added the owl from Glitz with some Mod Podge.  I also added a bit of washi tape.
Thanks for looking.  Let me know what you think.

Pocket Thursday Week 33

Today I decided to use Halloween paper for a non-Halloween layout.  I had the Jillibean Soup Witches Brew 6x6 pad.  There are several papers in the pack that are not Halloween theme.

I added some CTMH cardstock I had in my stash and some Me & My Big Ideas Clear Gold stickers.  I really like how it turned out.

Traditional Tuesday

Traditional Tuesday

I don't do many traditional scrapbook pages anymore, but I have tons of supplies so I thought it would be a good idea if I made a page a week.  I had the great Witches Brew Paper from Jillibean Soup.  I just got it into the store and couldn't help myself.  These pictures were also sitting on my desk.  So here is the page I made.

Mixed Media Monday

Mixed Media Monday

Happy Monday everyone.  I got some great Prima Mixed Media stamps in the store and wanted to play with them so I decided to work in my art journal, which I haven't done in ages.
I started with a background stamp and distress paint in picket fence.  I stamped it a couple times, dried it and then added distress ink.  I used Faded Jeans, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean. I also added a little water to background.  I then stamped my Prima doll on a separate piece of paper and cut her out.  I colored her skin and hair with Copic Markers.  I used EOO, E21 for her skin and E31, E33, and E37 for her hair.  I then stamped her dress on patterned paper from Echo Park Summer Lovin' 6x6 pad.  I added some washi from my stash.  I also added some more distress paint.  I glued a project life card to the page and some rub-ons from my stash.  So here is my page.
